a girl

I was born a woman.

My family fed me cud

Defiant children chewed up

Partially digested.

I started a band, in my head

I dubbed

Over the strikes of my father

Across her fucking head

I took what I was told to take

He took what he didn’t have to

Unrestraint in hungerlust

Virgin tears of angel dust.

I figured out what it meant

When I was seventeen.

And my refusal

Was a man’s revolting dream
